I can only judge the last 30 years...

2007 the best season because 4 drivers were fighting for the title and Ferrari and McLaren had the same car.
1996-1999 was the best era due to random reliability issues and great drivers like Hakkinen, Schumacher, Villeneuve.

Edit: grammar correction

Not surprising, wasn't that the year one of the Ferrari designers (Nigel Stepney) gave McLaren the plans to the Ferrari car?

1976.  Proper racing back in the day.

Yes, it was the reason of my statement...

It would have been the most controversial title if any McLaren driver would have won it.

Did the wheel already exist back then?

My answer is probably the 1997 season - the great championship battle between Villeneuve and Schumacher, the whole Jerez weekend, and so much more

Yes, and Alonso threatened Ron Dennis, if you don't let Hamilton run out of fuel I'm going to let the FIA know you've got Ferraris plans... what a guy...!

It has to be said, Alonso is not my favourite driver because of this incident.

My favourite Era was mid 80s to early 90s, Senna, Prost and Mansell although I have to admit to being very fired up by the 2021 Max / Lewis battle.

Nope, Team Lewis for me and has been this way since his very first season in 2007.

Not only an exceptional racing driver but IMO he's matured into a pretty good all round person.

Finally, someone who sees sense, we have witnessed greatness that's never before been seen - Fact. A shame so many people don't recognise it whatsoever and call themselves a fan of the sport.!
