AI not working?

What did you try to do?
Set up using advanced so dry tyres would be used in wet race if stopped training after 6 laps. It stopped raining, but my drivers both stayed out on wets.

I may be wrong, but I believe once you join a race live, all advanced strategy is turned off, and it’s up to you. If you don’t attend the race, the advanced strategy will go as planned. Another side effect of this is that once you join a race, if you leave before the race is over and you still have some KERS left, the AI won’t use it. It’ll use it before you join, but not after you leave.

So yeah, unfortunately, I don’t think what you mentioned is a bug, but rather an aspect of iGP.

Almost right Harry, but If you don’t attend the race AS will change your tyres after: it is dry and it has been dry for the time you have specified, but only at you next scheduled pit stop.


There are also a number of issues with AS which is well documented in a long running thread so it is fair comment to say that the AI doesn’t work properly. 

The first part of Harry’s comment is correct. If you joined the race even for a second, or potentially even clicked join and quickly cancelled before entering. AI and advanced strategy would be disabled. So that is one potential solution.

For the rest it’s difficult to say without further information. As Skid says there are problems with advanced strategy not changing tyres correctly or as expected. Also when they did stop, did they swap to dry tyres or fit wets again?
