Hello,

Would it be possible to have details on how the weather is managed since the Dark Sky stop please?

I ask this question because it seems to me to have read somewhere that we could use Apple's weather application and wait for the end of March.

So I used this application and it told me that it shouldn't rain on Malaysia tonight. To be sure, I also checked on the weather.com link that someone was kind enough to look for everyone.

Similarly, no rain either in forecast or on the radar.

My race in Malaysia starts at 7:30 p.m. Paris time and, barely a lap after the start of the race, the rain appears and remains the whole race.

I check again on the Apple app after the race as well as on weather.com and still no traces of rain on Sepang. So my question remains suspended to know how the game manages the weather and can we find something that gives a roughly correct forecast of the weather?

Thank you in advance

So currently the dark sky api is still being used and will continue to be used until support stops in March as I understand it.

The dark sky api is now tied into the Apple weather app, along with other sources. The issue is that you can’t quite get to the precise location of the circuit in some places with the apps available. I believe the poster of the new weather links commented on this in his post.

So I imagine for Malaysia (I can’t check right now.) It’s either looking at the weather at Kuala Lumpur or maybe the main airport for Kuala Lumpur. But the race track is quite a way away in the outskirts of sepang.) so it’s possible for the weather to be different between the forecasted location and the circuit.

The only consolation i can offer right now is that It’s the same for everyone for now. And if I do happen to find a way to check precise weather at circuit locations I will share it to the forum right away.
