I will keep it short:
I understand the logic behind the less a driver weights the faster the car goes ( although the difference should be minimal, like really minimal).
Now if I understood correctly, the lower the BMI is the faster the car will go, is that correct for this update?
My question: why would a 55kg 170cm driver be slower than a 55kg 190cm, or aren't they? Then what's the point of BMI? (Hfor this example I would consider all other attributes to be equal between drivers.
Extra: on my league the fastest drivers have a BMI of 13.8 which is:
Unhealthy and unrealistic for a formula 1 driver.
Will there be changes to the BMI? I think it is a pointless attribute.

BMI has an optimal window (20-25 if I'm correct). If a driver's BMI is higher or lower than a value in that window, it should lead to decreased pace for the driver for the exact reason that you mention.
The BMI effect in the game seems to be rather mild (not a lot of material to go of yet), so the driver with a BMI of 13.8 in your league might just be better developed or have a very strong car.

Looks like you need to read the latest blog post about the update. In there it is said that a non ideal BMI will affect your drivers stamina. So, you will have to get BMI into the green zone for optimal race performance. Do not forget that stamina dictates how much energy a driver uses per lap and, imo, potentially (Idk), a drivers awareness throughout the race...
