Is it me or have others noticed the person with the lowest bmi are really quick , because my bmi was in the red after the update I decided to buy 2 new drivers, skill 24 and 25 apart from mental they are fully trained, yet still the skill level 20 with bmi 18 are to quick.
My bmi is green 25.
Thoughts ?

From my experience, i think it’s just you.

There are some new factors at play but summary, a talent 20 with red bmi shouldn’t be outpacing a higher talent with green bmi in the course of race (every other thing being equal).

Yep agreed Simon - maybe they've turned driver weight back on?

Skill 20 has green bmi 18 and 18.5  not red bmi.
Mine have skill 24 + 25 bmi is green but 25 ,
Skill 20 cars are just quicker at the moment.

Pretty certain a T20 isn't faster. You should try controlled tests.

Ok they arnt faster get this, the guy who won the championship last year was skill 20,
This season he is in 2nd and hasn't participated in one single race yet but I must be imaging it ?
And to prove a point Ian Mason with his first participation this season gets a 1-2 skill level 20 low bmi , I came 3rd and 5th ,4th place car skill level 20 low bmi did not participate.
Just saying what is happening ?‍♂️

Hi Simon,

I'm not invalidating your experience but your results are from a race/s that has mannyyyyyy factors involved.

What I can tell you is that I've ran multiple (and I mean a lot) 'controlled' tests using both legacy & new generation drivers (everything being equal) and conclusion is while legacy drivers (lower green bmi) can compete against same or higher talented drivers, they are surely not faster.

How do you do
controlled' tests? I have a t30 driver and it seems that he is not faster in the race then my t21 with lengendardy racecraft

Maxed engines ?

Yes, they both have almost all tracks at +21 stats on their engine. Look at their profile. Click their engine

1. Have 2 or 3 accounts of the same level.
2. Get drivers equally trained with the exact attributes or with the attributes you are testing for.
3. Get same abilities if testing that.
4. Develop cars equally.
5. Race on tracks that is not one of the preferred tracks for any of the drivers. Somewhere without much dirty air would be best.
6. Keep cars out of drs.
7. Study lap times.

Hope that helps.

apart from mental they are fully trained

Your drivers are a long way from fully trained, they are at level 21.  The Mental figures are very low, not to mention the experience figures of course.

Its not just skill level and BMI that determine driver performance, it's a combination across all figures. Other drivers in your league are level 22, others are 20 - it happens.

And if you're talking about your Spa race, it looks like you pitted off Softs much earlier than everyone else.  You must have lost the DRS train and dropped back and hence lost out.  Check your tyre deg.

Yea it might seem like a lot of work but if a manager wants to compete at the top of the game, gathering data is unavoidable unfortunately.
