So annoying: https://igpmanager.com/play/?url=race-result/557961/491859

4.7L left crossing line, 4.5L left in box, 4.2 to 4.3 needed per lap

Jack, this kind of things make people leaving the game for good.

only after happening to me, only it was my first stop auto pit brought the car in but the car still had 4.1 in the tank & it is only 3.2 per lap

Did you have a higher push level for the final lap?

On the other hand it is also possible the auto-pit feature failed to recognize the race was in its final lap.

I think I recall one of the blog posts describing the new iGP that this issue would no longer be a problem.

Right so who has been working on the site just over an hour ago? :D
I used same push levels and same fuel amount 26litres.
stint 1 auto pit brings me in a lap early
stint 3 done the full amount of laps
stint 5 done the full amount of laps
stint 7 finished the race with this in the tank

So why did auto pit bring me in one lap early in stint 1?

Several things might be infuence here:
- Where did u start? If u start way back, lap 1 and therefore stint 1 might use some extra 0.1-0.2l.
- Where is your Box? Way before or way after finish line? Could explain why there is fuel left in final stint, but not so much when pitting.
- Push levels

@Blunion: Of course I pushed hard some part of 2nd last lap, since it is 10°C in Turkey and I was on worn out SS.
But even a whole lap at PL5 would not require 0.4L. And thats the amount I had to spare.

As the fuel per lap is calculated from the starting line to the finishing line it shouldn't matter where you started. it's like flying to and from the moon the fuel package is the same flying from the front or the back of the moon to the earth :P

Well this happened to me last night too for one of my other teams

First stint, I had nearly a full 1l to spare and autopit came on so late I didnt have time to stop it.

Seems very odd that so many reported the same issue, this was Malaysia btw.

In the new version of iGP you will never run out of fuel because you are fuelled with what the tech tells you.
You will finish every race with at lest 1 full litre for iGP managing team to take for testing to make sure you have not put any illegal substances into your fuel to gain an advantage any team failing to submit a sample after each race will be fined. :D

Guessing that is how they are making some engines work better at different tracks the fuel load is fixed in place and cant be edited :)

Of course it is calculated per lap, line to line. Thats part of the problem! I think, if u start at the end of the field, u need some fuel to even make it to the line. So there is fuel usage even "prior 1st lap". That might lead to a slightly higher fuel consumption in first stint compared to front runner. In stints inbetween u need some fuel to make it from line to box. This 0.1 to 0.2L don't show up in your records. U just have to know, that in last stint 0.1L at the line is enough, but not in prior stints.

Do u think this analogy is suitable?

Actually, it is not that much different than right now. But I am not allowed to talk about closed beta yet.

@Jack - Apart from not being able to talk about closed beta what are the other rules? Asking you because don't think the CEO can get barred from closed beta for talking about it.

@Cole - So what you are saying is the game if fixed so that front running teams have an advantage over the rest of the field. That is the reason why when I was cars 1 & 2 I was able to run very low fuel but now I can't. Like I used to be making pit stops with 0.1 & 0.2 and finishing races with 0.0 & auto pit never came in to it once.

As for the analogy I think it is suitable if you are told it takes 5.5 to get from A to B that's what you should get regardless of what number is on the nose of your car.

Part of the problem is, some times when people can't attend they actually run out without it pitting.

Be careful in Hungary tomorrow, that happened for you 10 seasons ago too and I'm 100% sure this is due to high PL and miscalculation by the game.
