As the race started in rain and stopped during lap 2, the 2-compound rule should not apply to the GB race on Saturday 18 March (20:00 GMT start). However, after the race several drivers were disqualified for not using 2 dry compounds.

The rain was falling at the start of the race. In lap 2 it stopped so drivers with set up to change to dry tyre immediately after the rain stop, all pit to change their tyres.
