In today's race I noticed an absurd situation with tires. It started with rain and 1mm of water on the track. After a few laps it stopped raining and with 0.2mm of water the pit stops started. Someone mounted the intermediates and someone soft them. It seems absurd to me with the soft turns 4/5 seconds slower per lap, with only 0.2mm of water! In the last laps, with now dry track from Many laps, one person mounted the intermediates, he did 1.35.5 without boost and without DRS, the others with the soft or the mediums made 1.35.0! It is absurd and impossible

Hey Oscar,

Thanks for your feedback. You will be happy to know that a rework with improvements in these regards is now in the final phase of beta testing. It might be released early next month.

Having competed in real Motorsport from karts to single seaters, that is exactly true to life, with any water on the track intermediates or cut slicks if they weren't available were always quicker than dry tyres. They are called dry tyres for that reason, they work best on a dry track, 0.2mm of water isn't dry.
After checking the china race you obviously put mediums on instead of intermediates, lap 9 after your pitstop you were 10 seconds slower than an opponent who pitted for inters on the same lap as you, the top 3 changed on lap 13 & 15.
The other who made the mistake and stopped on lap 39 for inters did a 1.35.426 on the last lap, another on mediums did 1.32.476 on the same lap, so the dry tyres on a dry track were still quicker.
If they going to rework it they should make dry tyres even slower on a wet track.

Sorry, do you know what is 0.2mm of water with tyres at 120° temperature? You could be slower in some corner, but you are faster in straight. That race was my fault with medium, but difference was too much with 0.2mm, I remember you that's F1, not karts.. 1.32.476 was with boost, Inter was fast like medium in dry track, and it's a big problem in this game, if you don't understand it, it's your problem.. I have race with karts and I'm an esports driver, I'm not stupid

As I remember, developers some ages ago said what they are not going make things like in real life ("We are not a F1 game").

And I think what if there is decision between "thing as a reality" and "thing which can make game more interesting", second will be better.

You are correct, but OP’s suggestion would not improve the game.  It’s frankly ridiculous to expect dry tyres to perform better in 0.2mm of water. The dividing line in this game is whether the track is dry or wet, not someone’s personal interpretation of how they think the mechanics of the game should work.
