Hi there i was thinking after playing this game for a while that stuff like technical director is not much of a use once you sort out the fuel and know the correct strategy. What i want to say is maybe they can constantly give out info when the race is up live and they will be there to assist "us" the manager like a possible alt pit strategy or if the rain looks like a passing rain the technical director could also advise us if we should or we could gamble for another strategy i know we have the weather station but what will the possible weather scaling for wet or dry be like? because during a race we would not know if its like small rain drops or a heavy one that is gonna hit us(in other way its more of like radio help for the drivers but instead its in text form and the help is for us to make up decision throughout the race. For weather what i mean is that the current weather scaling is a little vague and sometimes annoying because the wet weather could be like 0.10 and inters are still faster then the dry tyres which is a little weird considering 1.00 is full wets and 0.50 is inters(I assume) when you see 0.10 usually dry should be a little faster and not the otherway round so when things like this happen people are confuse(well at least for me lol). For me its things like this make the real life weather more exciting and more racing with ppl doing different strategy. Would like to hear from some of you guys what you all think. Thank you and have a nice day

The beaker in live race should be changed to match the advanced strategy settings or the other way around so that it eliminates confusion.

Either mark the beaker in live race 0 to 5 millimetres or change the advance settings to 0.00 to 1.00

1.00/5 - wet
0.80/4 - wet
0.60/3 - wet
0.40/2 -inter
0.20/1 -inter
0.00/0 - dry

At 0.60 wet and inters are about equal.

I think i am having a little trouble gauging it tbh sorrey thought i know it's my fault to not understand when ppl could but not me but if the technical director were to maybe help out during the race it might be better for noobs like me and to the new players might learn to slowly adept or they could change the way it works but doing it in percentage something like tyres

That's because wets are push 1 and inters are push 3 at that point but still full wets are a little faster

I like the idea of the tech telling you we might consider switching to wets/inters or inter/dry during the race once the standing water reaches a level

@James Greer that would be great so technical director would have more value as of now all they do it tell u the numbers of stops and fuel which for people who have been playing for so long dont even need that info and that will make the technical direator useless.

lot of the time I know I'm on the wrong tyre I just can't be bothered working out a new strategy so I tell the drivers to stay out lol
If tech told us what tyre and how much fuel to add in the pit stop to continue with the 7 stop strategy or maybe if we add ??litres we could try a 6 stopper

Not really through my experience, of course at places like Monaco the wets will work in slightly drier in comparison to normal, same with the inters, but generally the cut off is around 0.4

Monaco here is bugged I tell you,
you are on the highest push level & your lap time is showing roughly 1:26.467 way too slow of a time to be on the highest push level you look at f1 2015 using the lowest revs your time is in the 1:19s highest revs they can be as low as 1:14s

I hope everyone worked that one out ages ago lol, it's obvious.

It's just a problem with the routes of the cars, it's glitchy. If you look at Turkey, there is a really weird point around the first sector split where the cars completely stop briefly, where in real life it would be flat. It's another problem with this rubbish current system, deal with it.

That's sweet coming from you saying it is obvious since the time I complained about it your reply was it's just the way Monaco is it is always hard to warm up the tyres :D

Don't exactly understand what you are talknig about lol, but I think I'd do something like that :)

I wanted Jack or one of the dev team to take a look at Monaco & to fix the push levels to make them more sensible so that you could use more than just super soft at the track, as soft tyres are only useful for 13laps then you can't push anymore to get heat in them as you are already on the highest push level. Full wets you can never get them grey optimal temp they are always cold blue on highest push level too, but I got out numbered too many people saying Monaco is fine the way it is :P

I understand what you're talking about :
1. An active TD during races giving advices according to the weather, for ex to add or remove 1 lap fuel in the next stint, to use Softs instead of SS, or to stay 2 more laps with dry tyres if it's only a shower ..
2. A better weather scaling as the current one is kinda confusing for newcomers. It's true that 0.10 looks dry as compared to 0.50 & 1.00 but when you know how it works it should be no problem with it.

The new iGP solves the problem with gauging how much rain is on track :)

As for the active TD, that level of complexity would be interesting.

I'm looking forward to all the suggestions (and gripes) folks will have for the game when open beta launches.

James, you may be in luck. In the new iGP we've adjusted the effectiveness of Softs, Mediums, and Hards to make them more competetive with Super Softs. During closed beta testing this resulted in more varied strategies which I found interesting. We will be looking forward to gauging tester's feedback on this change during the open beta. I'll look into Wets not warming up on highest push level - that's not right.

Regarding weather - I think the the weather gauge in the new iGP is an improvement and clearer to read. Incidentally, the weather station has been removed from the new iGP.

On the TD providing advice during the race, I like the idea personally. Going forward we want to make iGP more interactive.

Great Ricky!
Full wets in Monaco it doesn't matter if you do 8laps or 18laps the tyres never seem to heat up.
The scaling of the push levels there needs to be pulled back a bit so that instead of being on push level 4 in dry you are on push level 2 allowing other tyres to take to the track using other push levels.
It will also change full wets from push level 5 to push level 3 allowing you to move to push 4 or 5 if need to push more to get heat in the tyres :)

In case you are scratching your head thinking what you on about push level 4 or 5 lol
push level 1•Lowest -We must bring the car home, no excuses
push level 2•Low -Be strategic & play it safe
push level 3•Average -Consistency is key – stick to a competitive pace
push level 4•Hard - Be Aggressive & push hard
push level 5•Hardest - Take big risks, we have nothing to lose
