Hi there, so with the league rules we've seen some additions made to the game which allows variance of rules between each leagues. We could also see what step further we can see this moving forward. I have a few suggestions which shouldn't impact the game in a huge way.

Tyre Rules

So in addition to the 2-tyre rule, we could also have a variable slider per track for the wear-rate of tyres. What this can do is change the tyre wear requirements per league where different leagues want the tyres to behave differently. Like the Wet tyres or having more or less stops, or even making Super Soft as relevant as the Hard tyre when it comes to race strategy, and also switch off any 1 of the four dry tyres so it becomes unavailable for that race. The wear-rate would be calculated before Tyre Efficiency.

What you can do is set the Wear Rate of each tyre as follows:

Disabling any one dry compound would prevent you from disabling other dry compounds. Also Intermediate and Wet Tyres cannot be disabled.

DRS Strength & KERS Strength and Capacity
The ability to change DRS's strength and KERS' Strength and Capacity for the entire season:

On a Scale of 1 to 10 you can set the strength of how much DRS and KERS will give you and additionally, how much total KERS time per race you can add to your car. You could also choose to have KERS regenerate and choose it's starting charge level if it's a regenerative KERS. You can modifier them as follows:

Starting Charge automatically changes to maximum if Recharge is not enabled.

What this does is give each league their own identity to race in the conditions the league wants, decided by the league and it's manager. Instead of setting all leagues to the same ruleset with these devices, it's a widely requested feature and I think this gives a fair opportunity for allow leagues to operate within the rules they desire to run with. This also removes the requests of people asking for Tyre wear to be returned, KERS to be retuned, DRS to be retuned or them to be switched off altogether.

Hope this helps with a lot of individual requests to allow something more progressive to be designed and I think it fits the style iGP likes to have it's UI and Settings made.

Wow, how many bugs do you want to introduce? LOL

On a more serious note, IMO your ideas are interesting but that level of customisation is an open invitation for exploitation by less scrupulous hosts.

Regarding tyre wear, remember we already have four different wear rates because wear is scaled to race length. So that would require four different ranges.

I like the idea of making one dry compound unavailable for each race.

The DRS and Boost options are also a good starting point for discussion but again the power of both is already related to the level of your Tech Centre so any adjustment would have to be done as a percentage of base power to ensure all Tech levels would be treated the same. High levels of DRS and Boost would make for a much larger gap between high and low level teams which would really disadvantage the low levels.

The major drawback as I see it is this suggestion would inevitably lead to to a greater number of leagues and unless more players are recruited it will further dilute the number of active players per league.

At the moment we have 4 race lengths, three possible speeds, refuelling on/off, tyre rules on/off, FL point on/off and 48 half hour time slots in which a race can start. So that's 4,608 permutations. Every time you introduce another binary rule you double the permutations.

Imagine how many (bad) hosts would cheat in order to make levels more or less relevant, or how many would ban or edit the tyres to fit their ideal strategy.

The tyre rules could have their sense if the options are set on a league basis(not race by race) but DRS and boost should stay as they are.

Yes, those rules would have to be set on a per season basis I suppose, except maybe the excluded tyre as it could be optionally determined by vote for the race next after the current one.

The biggest problem is further splitting leagues, not counting different extremes for wear and technology powers 3 compounds available and recharging boost are two more rules. But then one of them, the compounds, is practically in the game in different flavours already in the form of custom league rules and just can't be filtered in search or seen until reading the league board.

Having the ability to tweak races that way is interesting though. If not in leagues I certainly hope this might be a thing for an expanded QR system.

Interesting.
I think, to keep from being abused, it would need to be season wide, not track specific. Interesting idea.

After looking at your tables, a thought popped into my head that may have been suggested before.

Why doesn't KERS recharge? we could have the option of a "smaller" KERS with the ability to recharge a small percentage per lap. More advanced KERS would be the same size/amount of boost but would recharge at a faster rate.

To clarify:

Track tyre settings are set per track but don't change until next season.
