Find Expired Driver Contract

Are we able to find a driver to try and resign them once their co tract expires and they are gone from our team?  I have been training a rookie 3rd driver that I scouted who is talent level 30, and had gotten his driving skills all up to 30 while he was waiting to take over for my #1 driver who I will not be resigning when his contract is up.

I’m so used to drivers and staff being signed to 50 races that I didn’t realize the initial rookie contracts where shorter, and it apparently expired yesterday.  I have been away fm the game for a few days (and any form of a life in general) as I’ve been prepping to defend my grad school thesis, and was so bummed when I just logged in and saw the driver was gone and realized what must’ve happened. 

Is there any way to search for the driver and try to resign him if he’s in some “free agent” type pool and not already on a other team, or is a driver gone forever from existence if his contract expires?

Hmmm, thanks for that info.  It appears he is gone.  The last name was Lopez but when I search that I just get a result for team names or manager names, no drivers.  And I don’t have the driver link.  I thought I could go into the league standings and the driver page to see his full name, but since he never ran a race or earned a point this season, he isn’t even listed in the driver page of the league standings now.

hi, if you haven't found the driver yet... you can go to the statistics of a race where you used that driver you are looking for and from there you can buy him back if he's free... but be aware that it will cost you more money than when it came out from the academy ???
