This is about the 3rd time I've complained about the quick race farce. Just started a quick race with 4 other managers. By half a lap ALL the cars ran out of fuel. What's the point??? It's a joke, and those numpties are just spoiling the game for others for their own ends. Is it really impossible to stop this?

I know that you mean. Now think, you will still get paid, plus you can change tires a few times to see which are faster is that track.
Only thing that stinks is you can't  read the best time. Just added a poll so please go vote

Can anybody confirm that you receive an experience gain for your driver even if you only complete half a lap? And even if all the cars only complete half a lap too?

It's now a requirement to finish the race and to finish in the top 3 to earn the rewards in a Quick Race. These requirements have been put in place to prevent these silly strategies that were being deployed to farm rewards.

Hi Jack.
If were to finish 4th would I[my driver] still gain the EXP?

If only the podium receives the reward, then the reward should please be increased.

Bad decision. It should be out of fuel=no reward.

The highest number of players I have ever seen is 8 and the largest part of quick races has 2 or 3 players. This means that farming resources will continue. 50% of times they will be rewarded but it will continue.

Furthermore you should lock quick races for 24 hours for those who run out of fuel twice during the last 24 hours. (Once can happen to anyone)

But they have to finish the race. So out of fuel does = no reward. It’s actually gone a step further than that, in that you must also finish and be in the top 3.

I did quick races where 4 of 6 players retired after one lap. So one of them should obtain a reward with this system? I confirm my statement: bad decision.

I have nothing to say if only the podium will be rewarded from now since this is a gift but only who deserves it should get it.

No they wouldn’t as you have to finish and place on the podium  to qualify for a reward.

Thanks Jack, a huge improvement and should deter the people who start the race with 1 litre of fuel to farm driver experience.

One final request. When you have time, please can you fix the fuel  / estimated laps relationship. At the moment it's wildly inaccurate.

This. Running out of fuel no longer works as a strategy because you must finish the quick race.

Also, QR rewards like cash and experience have become available to all managers who participate, whether they are in a league or not.

The main reason imo why people start with hardly any fuel it’s to protect their drivers health.

Currently exp is gained on races completed, if exp was changed to miles raced/distance travelled then farming quick races with 0 fuel would become obsolete.

As driver health for quick races and league races are from the same resource pool, it really makes no sense to do a full quick race and completing a race in the most efficient way possible to accrue experience is a result of the current mechanics.

To make Quick races more active you could have them cost no health or reduce their health attrition. You could have Quick races randomly reward winners titles like ‘the rocket’ that gives them a tiny boost at the start of the race. To keep the title player would need to participate in 3 quick races every 24 hours and if they were to come 2nd they would lose that title to the winner.

That’s another way of saying “Here have some free XP, driver experience and some cash”.

We already have it.

XP and cash don't care, free DE already exists with no fuel.

The way I interpret Jack's post above, DE is only gained if you finish the race, so the "no fuel" exploit no longer exists.

By saying "experience", what do you mean exactly? Driver or manager experience?

If the latter is the case, how much xp do we get? Is there a daily limit? Thank you in advance

Good question. I asked the Devs on your behalf and the answer I got was...

"Both Manager and Driver Experience" but they didn't give any numbers.

It's a guess but I imagine Driver Exp will increment by 1 every 20 races you finish on the podium (like it was before).

For Manager experience you could make a note of yours, finish top 3 in a QR and re-check to see how many points you were awarded.
