I know a few people moaned that they struggled with Inters and Wets having low tyre wear allowing wet races to be completed with 1 or 0 stop strategies. This was something I had no issue with as it meant wet races were different needing a different strategy and you could take the risk that If the track remained wet you could gain an advantage by running much longer stints with less stops. However, the recent changes seem a ill-though out knee jerk reaction.
Tonight I’m racing Belgium and the tyre wear rates are as follows:
Super Soft 13%
Soft 8%
Meds 6%
Inters 10%
Wets 10%
To have Inters and Wets with wear rates so much higher than meds & softs is not only unrealistic, it is nonsensical and completely changes the dynamics of a wet race bringing them closer to dry races. This is not the only track I’ve seen the wear rates between dry and wets inversed and needs to be reversed. I struggle to understand why you thought this was an improvement to the game. Although, I personally didn’t agree that wets needed a higher wear rate a small change would have been fine, but this seems to been done without thinking through the consequences?
