Attributes, design, etc - and the new beta program

Will all of our attributes, experience levels, design levels, etc carry over after this season to the new format? Or will it be a generic starting point for everyone on the same level?

Everything will be carried across and converted in to equivalent values within the new game.

They will remain, and everyone will remain in them. It's all being transferred across.

The most likely scenario is races will be delayed by a day when we deploy the update, to give us an entire day to get it set up. It's such a huge overhaul of the entire system that I believe it could take us all day to translate everything in to the new system. Just considering the shere amount of data in the old game, it's going to take hours to convert the database structures alone.

A delay of one day is almost nothing, won't that be extremly stressful when something goes wrong ?

Hi Jack,

I just want to clarify that a delay of a day will be "on schedule". By this I mean we run MWF so our Friday race would be delayed until Monday and not run on Saturday.

In that example, that's correct, it would run on Monday. We would use our usual "postpone" algorithm which delays the race until the next available slot in the calendar. Sorry for any confusion. :)

No, it'll be wasted because once the new iGP goes live in less than 2 weeks, everybody will be using the 2D race viewer.

They will be transferred.

They will be translated to Tokens along with subscriptions. I'm going to be writing the exact exchange rate very close to launch so I can't actually give a figure yet. It will be at least the same value, though.
