Hey everyone! This is my 1st forum post!

I was wondering how much does the BMI effect a drivers skill. Does it even matter?

Also, there is car compability rating, I wonder how it works?

Does anyone know?

BMI is huge for a driver. I've not done any testing on it personally, but from what I am seeing as a normality is that a driver with yellow BMI tends to lose 0.8-1.5 seconds a lap compared to a identical driver with green BMI. Not sure about red BMI, but it is certainly not any better.

As far the car combability rating in the next race tab, I don't pay attention to it. I will usually just gather a little bit of data on what seems to work every time I race. After a while. it all adds up and you'll have loads of info at your hands.

As Zeke says, BMI has a large effect. However, I think he slightly misrepresented the way it is implemented so I'll clear that up.
BMI directly affects a driver's stamina (this is a hidden mechanic but explained when you click on the attribute)
Stamina directly affects driver's health loss in races
Driver health impacts pace.

Therefore at the beginning of races, similar drivers varying in BMI will have little difference, but by the end the driver with less optimal BMI will have slowed much more.
IMO the effect can be up to 0.5 seconds per lap- all else being equal- but appears larger because you never see high level drivers with poor BMI, only those already slower tend to get hit by the effect

The car compatibly is as Zeke said- completely useless- and can be ignored, firstly as it doesn't take into account attributes that are more/less important for each track, and secondly as it is relative to your level so is not a reliable indicator compared to others.
