i am trying to view a race that just started about 15 minutes ago from the timestamp on this thread, the problems i am having is when i start it up just after downloading (0.00/1) an error screen appears with:
"ERROR: InvalidStateError : URL https://igpmanager.blob.core.windows.net/raceviewer/Release/UnityLoader.js : Line 2"
after pressing ok, it loads up the rest of the way up to resources 64.00/67 and just hangs at that point. it has been 20 minutes stuck in this endless loading loop if it is in it.
my browser is the latest firefox with the latest java and unity on it.
Unity plugin only time it is needed is when you an in livery page. Java is not needed for anything.
So you can disable those plugins from running and just use the allow now when you are in livery.
Very curious if it fixed the problem for you. Since I get stocked on the download screen at 0.0/1... If I don't close the screen fast enough first my browser gets stuck and after that my whole computer doesn't response on anything anymore.
I'm using firefox on ubuntu 16.04
Okay it did not work. managed to get some time to run default firefox in a controlled setting and got the addons back on, however it still shows line 2 error.

I see on Ubuntu forums that there are lots of HTML issues with 16.04 and I have never used their software. Reading some of the posts it's a very complicated browser to work with, need to install python-gobject & python-gobject2 before you can even run a simple program.

that just it i use the normal window when accessing firefox, i could pull up a private window from "file" directory but i have not, additionally when i do press play a new small window comes up, i don't know if that is automatically in privacy mode. however i did copy your link as i can't lift the link from the PM, this is in a non-private window and it came up the same.
I do not know if i am missing something here.
edit: on a hunch, i wonder if this firefox options under privacy, specifically tracking protection could be the issue? i don't accept cookies on my computer without my direct permission and i have a number of programs outside firefox that prevent this.

aahh ok simple fix in about:config set browser.privatebrowsing.autostart to false
The game is still playable though even with all the error messages on my computer in private browsing!
well that's in conflict with preferences about remembering history which is another way of allowing cookies on the computer, those are already wiped, in the process of never remember history the browser privacy thing went back to true. it sucks but i won't be able to view the race unless there is another work around.
interesting, i ran this through someone whom i know of and plays this game and he said that he got the same error with the same settings and that he got the resources to 53.00/53 and got into the race without issue on his first attempt.
i will look more deeply into firefox settings in a few minutes.
okay, i ran through a few settings, turns out i was elsewhere until about 10 minutes before the race end anyway and at that point there was little point in making the adjustments. i did the adjustments now, these didn't work. i was hoping the updated race viewer would also include revised settings behind the graphical changes but it has not adjusted anything.
i think i may suggest something else in direct relation to the race viewer.
