Upgrad Driver Special Ability

I see it’s 50 tokens to upgrade from common to rare, and 100 tokens to upgrade from common to legendary. Can anyone confirm if I spend the 50 tokens to upgrade from common to rare if it would then cost an additional 50 or 100 tokens to then upgrade from rare to legendary? Thanks!

It's 50 tokens each step, so you can upgrade for 100 tokens once or 50 tokens twice.
