With the way the car development system is set, even though higher accounts get more DP per race, the low research doesn't compensate for it. The engine is helpful, yes, but lower level accounts get that same boost. Even though their drivers are at a higher level and technology is better, the cars still heavily favor the level range of L23-L26. Here's my idea:

-L30 account with maxed out engine.
-Customer account (L24) using that same engine

With this, the lower level account has a big advantage. The +30 is major. What if, for a lower level account, the engine boost caps out at your level? In that previous example, the L24 would only get a +24 boost, slightly evening out the playing field. Thoughts?

Hi Harry,

I don't think It's just a simple fix like you've stated.

A solid idea but let's use your personal experience as an example, would you said you would have done better or worse at PL with your level 22 account if the above is implemented?

Now I guess you see finding that balance isn't that easy.

Lower accounts aren't as OP as it's made out to be, you still need to know what you are doing just like with higher accounts.

I like the idea though, it's solid and maybe it could be modified in a different way.

Hi Harry

A simple question for you. In the scenario above, I feel it removes a reason for a higher level account to charge more money for their engine.

A big selling point would be for the higher stats. Without that, your engine is pretty much the same as every other engine between your level and your customers. (Unless it is a L30 engine and has some of the other benefits.)

So I don't think the suggestion in this form works.

There might be solutions out there though which would be acceptable to all parties. So a larger discussion on this could be interesting.

Hmmn we can reopen the engine weakness topic as part of the larger conversation.

Manufacturers (Specifically L30) get to use cooling/reliability weakness while the customers get the stock weaknesses?

Might go a long way in finding that balance as well as making the road to L30 exciting and the use of the L30 worthwhile.
