If you had difficulty accessing the site today, it was due to downtime with Microsoft Azure datacentres. Potentially thousands of websites were offline with this issue for around 2.5hrs.

Matters may not be over entirely as I write this. Azure are still cautiously labelling our region as "Warning" status on their service status page: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/status/.

Follow that page for updates if anything happens again. We are in the "West Europe" region.

In the meantime, we are already thinking of ways we can create some kindof backup service in the event that this ever happens again. We didn't expect it would be necessary in the cloud, as availability is generally very reliable with cloud services, but apparently it will. E.g. we may set up services in multiple regions so that we can avoid being dependent on one region.

Similarly to Wu Tang Financials advice, you gotta diversify your cloud.

Jack having issues with British Racing L. Just keeps going round in circles...Race start should have been 2000hrs. Is there still an issue? Can't work out which part of the status screen relates to your service...

I found 4-5 leagues affected by the same thing, all at the same start time as yours. It seems they were impacted somehow by the downtime earlier, so I've postponed them to the next calendar slot as with the races impacted earlier.

Post "crash", if I try to train my drivers the lose the health but progress bar doesn't move at all. Is this because of something is still awry or because they can't be trained further (earlier it has filled the progress bar and just said "no change")?

Do they have red stars by any chance? They progress extremely slowly then, almost not at all. I see you are only level 3, so you will need to reach level 4 before it will get easier to train them again. I see the drivers are at your level currently.

Jack
Couldn't access my race today either.

Which race? Did you receive any errors? I can't find any broken races in the system, so I'm guessing whatever error you experienced was local.

It shouldn't be related to the Azure stuff, given the time of your race. All races affected by that ran fine today.

World Racing Championship - Monaco race. Error message said I needed to use a browser such as Firefox. Thing is, I was using Firefox. Never had the problem before until today (Sat). Sorry for the late reply.

Are you using the latest version? What OS/Browser version were you using?

I'm taking stabs in the dark but this is info the viewer dev may find handy.
