I wanted to hire one of my older driver but I'm consistently told that I can't hire him due to my level not being high enough. I'm level 12 and the driver I'm trying to hire is 12 as well it' just really annoying that I can't get the driver I want due to no reason at all.

Perhaps this is confusing, but if you are level 12 you can hire "up to level 12", not beyond level 12. E.g. 11.99 would be the highest level you could hire, which would be displayed as level 11 in the interface.

I suppose it would be much easier to understand if it was actually "up to level 13" for drivers and staff, since they actually have decimal levels on the back-end.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has an opinion on whether this should be changed.

It doesn't seem logical, what happens at level 20 and how can there be any drivers for level 1?

If a level 12 could hire a 12.99 then I think it would be clearer?

If we can't see the decimals then they are not there as far as we know. So it just looks like a lvl 12 can't hire a lvl 12, regardless of what the backend reason is.

I think I might change this then. Another positive would be that it will bump everyone a level closer to level 20 managers with their drivers and staff, further acting as a balancing measure.

what about displaying the arithmetic rounded half up and compare also the level to the rounded half up level

so for example if a driver has a level of 12.49 he will be displayed as level 12 and can be hired as 12.49 rounded half down means 12. and 12
