Yes, I do know this has been suggested a few times before but I haven't seen official word from the devs on those threads, so I'm still wondering what they think about this. I think there is a bit of a problem that a strategy cannot be set with more than 4 pit stops, although teams can and often run races with more than 4 pit stops, especially in refuelling leagues. When I want to set a strategy with 5 or more stops, I leave the lap estimate under the total number of laps, and the game will automatically pit me with the same compound and litres of fuel as the previous stint when I almost run out of fuel. This can be quite annoying, and I would have to calculate and change the compound and the fuel amount between the final pre-set stint and the next one, and making an error is much more likely. E.g. Today I had a league race and I couldn't set my 5th stop. My first 5 stint were on softs, and I forgot to change the last stop to SS, meaning I pitted an extra time to obey the two tyre rule. I dropped from a likely P5 to P10, and that was fairly costly considering I don't score many points each race. I get that this is my own error, but I think that adding these optional stops in the advanced strategy would be a good idea, maybe to around 6, and it may help many managers because this has been a recurring hindrance for at least for me in a lot of races. Let me know what you all think.

I agree with the proposals to increase the number of pit stops per race and I would add that the rules for stopping when it rains should provide for more possibilities, namely:
1 - the amount of water defined for the stop should be in fractions of a mm and not every 1 mm;
2 - allow the creation of rules for "I" tyres and "W" tyres at the same time;
3 - define the change to dry tyres in fractions of a mm of water.

In short, minimise the difference between offline and online manager in each race, because the game is good but it's not always possible to be online and in this format when we're offline we lose out too much. I agree with keeping the differences, but smaller, so that missing 2 or 3 races a season isn't so penalising.

Good to hear you agree with me (and the poll which seems pretty unanimous, 36:7 at the moment). About your suggestions:

1. I don't think this is necessary because you should automatically set inters above 0mm, and Wets above 3mm which around the crossover points.

2. This could cause problems as rules for each wet tyre compound in different situations could even favour offline managers over online managers, which probably wouldn't be a good idea. At times, this suggestion may not even be needed if you set the advanced strategy correctly. E.g. if the track has 4mm, and the track is drying, you can use the "if it stops raining for ... laps" and put the tyres to inters, while pre-setting the strategy as wets. Alternatively, if the track has 2mm and it is raining heavily and the depth is increasing, you can use the "if the water depth is above ..., use ...," and select wets and 3mm, and pre-set your strategy on inters.

3. I totally agree with you on this one, I've never had a situation where I lost out on this, but I can imagine offline managers being messed up by this. You can just end up guessing how long the track is going to take to dry, and if you were offline, the track could still be at 1mm or maybe even more, and your cars may end up pitting and you lose a load of time.

I understand that managers who consistently race offline should be at a considerable disadvantage to managers who race all the time and I would say that there is a risk should all of your suggestions be added, that offline managers would be on par with the online managers, and racing online would provide little benefit. It would be nice to hear anyone else's opinion on this if they have one.
