Apologies if this is obvious but I can't understand this. I have put my DPs into maxing acceleration to 200 so that I cannot put any more DPs into it, yet although I have an engine supplier that gives me +29 Acceleration and -15 Braking on every track, the acceleration stat remains at 200. This was particularly strange as my other account (which is in Pro) also had acceleration maxed to 100, although with the same engine supplier and a few bonus points from the fuel supplier, this increased to 133. Is this a bug (or a visual bug) and my cars should have those extra points from the engine supplier, or is it my mistake for wasting the extra DP into acceleration when it is capped at 200. It does seem strange that I would lose 15 points per race in Braking without gaining any reward. Thanks in advance for any response.

Hi Ishaan
It is a hard cap of 200 in elite. So 200 + 30 from an engine, will result in 200 being applied to your car.
this is different to the rookie and pro tiers, where the cap is "soft" and can be exceeded using suppliers.
I'm trying to think as how to explain why. Here's my best attempt
In elite when the stat is 200, you are gaining 100% of the total benefit possible. 230 would also only give you 100% of the total benefit possible.
Whilst in Pro if you are at 100, you are gaining only 50% of what is technically possible, but the design points are capped to 100. The suppliers are able to provide you with benefits past that number.

Ok thank you for explaining, it makes more sense now. As I am now in this position, having this engine supplier is losing me 15 Braking points, while I reap no benefit. Is it worth switching suppliers with benefits other than acceleration?

The limitation is in the simulator. The data is transferred to the simulator for the race and the maximum number it can accept for any single car design attribute is 200.
This is why the Rookie and pro tiers can exceed the "tier cap" because they're not exceeding the "simulator cap"
As for switching suppliers, ask the engine supplier if they are prepared to change the engine +/-
If this is not an option, in future do not take your Acceleration to more than 170 design points. However, you will still be left in the position that the maximum you can get your braking design to is 190.
