As Formula 1 has changed the DRS to be from Lap 2, should we change it too? It makes sense at some tracks where the clean air is so powerful that pole position car is easily out of range by lap 2. Sometimes even 2 seconds ahead.

I don’t think this is a good idea; the DRS in iGP is significantly more powerful than in F1. On some tracks for the best teams, the DRS gives an advantage of over 1 second. This causes a problem in introducing lap 2 drs as the top driver might lose 4 or 5 position in just one DRS straight. In my experience of playing the game, in a fairly equally matched race, the top driver doesn’t usually make up 1 second over the two laps (assuming tyre choice and PL are the same). Even if they do, they would struggle to maintain that lead because cars behind will get DRS off each other and would catch up. So IMO, this wouldn’t be a great idea.

For sure its powerful, but not every track is losing 4-5 positions. That only happens in selective tracks. Most tracks you lose 1 position.

Please, offline is not the same as online. DRS is too powerful, you will learn it as you continue playing igp. (online)

For your kind information, this is my third account and I have been live racing since 3.5 years. There is no difference in strength of DRS whether you race offline or online. Only difference is you can use kers to get into DRS. Don't make moot arguments

If you were to introduce DRS a lap sooner it would make it a lot easier for those on the Medium or even Hard tyre to keep up and follow those on softer tyres.

Where the tyre delta isn’t that big everyone would eventually start on the same tyre as the advantage of the Softer tyre pace and qualifying position would be negated somewhat.

At Hungary and Monaco with high tyre delta and where DRS isn’t as impactful as other tracks you’d likely end up with DRS trains on those running the same tyre.

I’m in favour of the opposite no DRS until lap 3 much more of a challenge and getting rid of those boring DRS trains where it’s actually faster to sit in a train than do a different strategy cough cough Monza.
