Idk what happened to my strat

Todays race of my league just finished and I wasn't able to watch it live during the beginning to half way. It started raining in quali, so managers who had AS on with I tyres on AS1 were fine (me included). 

But then for some reason both my drivers started on SS even though, according to another manager who was watching live, the race started with 1.3mm (I checked and there were drivers who still started on I whose managers were offline). And the weirdest thing is that those SS tyres I had for my 1st stint were supposed to be used for 4 / 5 laps (depending on the driver), but both pitted at the end of lap 2. Because of that they ended up pitting in the same lap all race long and somehow decided to pit a third time (even though I only had 2 pits planned) on their own will on the last lap for M.

I can provide screenshots of the results of the race and an example of what I had in AS if anyone wants.

It’s possible it stopped raining in-between quail and race and then started to rain again once the race has started.  If you set AS 2 change to SS after it stops raining and you set the no of laps to 0 laps this would mean even if there was still water on the track you will change to dry tyres.


Advanced Strategy has a few quirks and you are best to set AS2 to I on 0 laps.  This way you will remain on I even when it has stopped raining (usually the track is still wet) and for each subsequent stint you are offline allowing you to manually change to dry when you come on line if needed.  The alternative is you gamble and set AS to a number of laps >0.  If you are lucky you will auto pit and switch to dry tyres at the right time, but there is a big risk you will end on drys when the track is still wet.  Overall, the former is likely to be less risky than the latter until you are online to make decisions.

That seems really possible to have happened. I had set AS2 to M after 1 lap. I did that because I didnt  really know my stuff. Thanks for your help
