Hi,
Just finished a race and ran out of fuel with about 4 laps to go. In practice per lap they was using 2.7 per lap but in the race it changed to 3.0 per lap.

Could this be down to low fuel economy level or the track itself as I had calculated the fuel needed for the race and even put in extra to make sure I didn’t run out but ended up running out anyways.

Hello,

In practice, all laps are completed at PL3 (Neutral). This means the fuel use indicated is roughly accurate for a lap completed entirely at PL3 - there may be some small discrepancies but they shouldn't cause a massive diference across a race distance.

In the race, were you adjusting your push levels? If you are using high push levels, your fuel usage per lap will also increase (and vice versa).

The longer the race distance, the more extra fuel you may need as a result of using higher push levels. The exact fuel change caused by using each push level is a possble to work out, however, most managers who have calculated this prefer to keep it secret as it can give you a competitive advantage.
