Championship Bonus/prize

Is there any championship winning prize or bonus. I just won a championship.. But my finances did not improve..
I thought I would be getting a lump sum amount by winning the championship and hoped I would use the money to improve my team and drivers and headquarters..
Any advise?

Currently there are no cash rewards for winning a championship. There's currently some demand for this from other players, so there's a chance in the future this could happen if the developers implement it.

@Jack : Unlike what you say it seems there really is a bonus (design) for teams finishing in top2 the previous season, I don't know if this is expected or a bug but that actually exists and this is causing a lot of problems with the starting design. That happened for the 2 last seasons in the MJL and the International GP Champ.

We talked a lot in chat and decided to reveal our starting design in both leagues and this is what we found :

MJL (before Australia) :
- 3 teams with 500+ design points (top2 champ + the team coming from pro)
- all of the others teams with 355 design points or less

International GP Champ :
- 2 teams with 580 points (top2 champ, we don't know about the team from pro)
- all of the others at 380/390 pts at best

In conclusion it seems there is a 150/200 bonus somewhere locking top6 positions in the MJL and top4 in the International GP Champ.

That sounds like the real world to me.. I mean isn't that the situation with Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull? Still maybe not go to that extreme but I think a monetary benefit in the end of the season will incentivate people more. Right now there is no benefit in winning except for bragging rights? I think as a game it needs something more in the end of each season but like you said make sure that almost everybody has a fair chance the next season.
