I’ve never bought a driver directly from another manager so I wouldn’t know how that would work. One manager in my league has a driver I put on a shortlist because her stats are good but she’s under contract. I sent a message to him about letting me know if she comes available. She’s a reserve driver.
First of all, the driver you want to purchase must be no higher level than your level (L24).
Secondly the manager who currently owns the driver must be prepared to sell them. You should arrange a time between yourselves, then the selling manager "Sells to Auction".
As the buying manager you now have a choice. You can immediately use Buy Now before the driver hits the market, but the cost will be 9 tokens. Alternatively you can wait until the driver is listed on the market and bid. If you're lucky it will only cost you one token, but if another player is also interested in the driver you could end up spending more in a bidding war.
