Engine manufacturing

Hi, I just reached lvl20 so I decided to manufacture my own engines. I’ve been a customer for different teams and mostly every one runs 30 acc/15 brak. I read about how at lvl 30 you can edit the weakness so I was wondering is the engine supplied to customers different to the engine the manufacturer has for themself? Just because I’ve never found a manufacturer who was for example 30 acc/15cooling. Is there a specific reason for that or is it mostly just choice

By the way:manufacturers can’t select cooling or reliability as weakness at level 30.

You’d think that’s something worth mentioning in advance, especially for a feature that you can’t revert/get your money back on…

But no, “it’s a management game”, god forbid we explain game mechanics, learning you got punk’d is part of the discovery/enjoyment. Whenever I discover new examples of this practice it leaves a bad/worse taste, I swear.

I’m level 22 and all my stats are much higher. I was able to add 6 points as a new manufacturer on the last race of the last season, but now can’t spend any of the 16 points I earned from Ads and I get a pop up to buy more when I try to use them. This puts me in a really bad spot.
