Hello guys,
if you could choose between two exactly equal drivers except for the fact that:
• one is T27 and has legendary Racecraft ability and 22 yo;
• the other one T30 with common Rain ability and 17yo, which one would you choose?

Sorry if my English is bad, it's not my native language.
Thank you for commenting.

Edit: another option could be taking firstly one and then the other one.
What do you think?

It would depend on their other stats and your willingness/ability to spend tokens! The 17 YO driver will clearly develop faster and have a better potential, but without race craft you will often struggle in close races. Not to mention 'just' 3 points of talent can easily be overcome by better driving ability/mental stats.

If you've got any more details, maybe we could be more specific in an answer.

Thank you for your answer, here's the other details:

Rain (common)
• Talent: 30
• Fast curves: 30
• Slow curves: 30
• Defense: 30
• Attack: 29

• Composure: 12
• Experience: 3
• Concentration: 19
• Morale: 21
• Knowledge: 20

• Endurance: 30
• Health: 74%
• BMI: 24.7
• Height: 1.72m, Weight: 73kg
• Age: 17

-------

Racecraft (Legendary)
• Talent: 27
• Fast curves: 30
• Slow curves: 30
• Defense: 30
• Attack: 30

• Composure: 18
• Experience: 16
• Concentration: 18
• Morale: 20
• Knowledge: 17

• Endurance: 30
• Health: 65%
• BMI: 24.5
• Height: 1.63m, Weight: 65kg
• Age: 22

I'll train whichever I'll take before use it, so I think the mental one doesn't matters, however I sent it.
At the moment I have around 150 tokens and an old maxed driver and a young maxed driver without ability; maybe, when the old driver won't perform well, I'll be able to choose the racecraft one and spend 200 tokens for legendary racecraft in my young driver.

Based on this, I'd take the T30. Both seem similar in pace- perhaps the T27 is oh-so-marginally quicker now but even a week of training will turn this around.

The T30 can easily be your 'Franchise driver', to borrow an American football term (e.g you build your team around them), as you should get a solid 250/300+ races out of them at peak competitiveness, before even needing to think about a replacement.
If you're in a position to save up/spend tokens, getting legendary racecraft would be an amazing cherry on top but in this european winter, Wet Weather is a great 2nd choice and will still be useful for you.

Hope this helps!

P.S 2 Car leagues are very token and cash-intensive. Keeping two competitive drivers is very hard, especially when you need them to have abilities of some kind in elite. I like what you've been doing using the T1 driver in pro while you can afford to (but he may have to go if you want to win in elite!)

Thank you very much for your advice. I didn't fully understand the PS; do you think my first driver (HAM) won't perform much well despite he has legendary Racecraf because he's to much old? Or are you referring to the other one? I planned to change the 2nd to take my t30 driver from academy when I'll return to elite. What do you think?

Ps: I don't know if I'll stay in this league, because I'm here to race with my friend but unfortunately he probably won't go in élite with me in the next season, so I'll probably only make the strategy and the setup without watching the race.

Edit: oh I understood,  you meant the 2nd one; yeah, I'll change him.

You might want to consider a 1 car league as it cheaper unless you are confident of meeting your sponsor targets regularly.  Replacing the second driver will be essential for Elite and if it was me I’d try to line up a second young driver to replace your current number 1.  Firstly, he is getting close to the age and number of races  where he might decide to retire rather than renew contract and secondly, he has very high wages.  My. Current number 1 is a similar age, but his wages, while high, are less than half what you are paying and I already have a young driver fully trained waiting to replace him.  If you have the coins and money to do so it’s cost effective over the long term

I don't know why you are wondering between T27 and T30. I will choose T30 without any doubt. The newer one usually goes with better things.

I took my number 1 when I rejoint the game after some years, so, when I found this T30 fully maxed driver I immediately took him; secondly, I agree, 1 driver championshipa are way better but in this moment money and tokens aren't an issue and, as I said in other comments, I'm racing here with a friend; however probably it's better if we move in another league, maybe the next season when he'll join elite league.
