Odd happenings

Can anybody give an explanation for the following, this is something I posted in my league page it's a mystery to me. Rybov is a driver.

"There is something odd going on. Third race of the season Rybov breaks down, fourth race of the season Rybov finishes the race. Fifth race Rybov breaks down none of the above should be possible. Right?"

Is his car fully repaired Suspension failure I only ever see when car parts are too low.

Assuming he's runnning with terrible part wear, yes its possible for him to finish some races and not others. Part wear is determined by a few factors, circuit and push level amongst them.


However if the car is not repaired to 100%... something odd is happening. So please feed back

His car is at 1/4 of wear so yes, it’s totally possible.

How is it possible to be at 1/4 wear by race three?

Yes, he’s clearly not fixing his car. Remember that Sprint Races also consume car wear.

Based on my experience Race 3/4 is normal for retirements to start in a 75% league. Years ago my advice used to be that if you wanted to save a few parts you don't need to repair your car the last 3 races. (maybe that's come down to the last 2 only now to be safe)

Race 3 is slightly early though, possibly the impact of rescaling from 0-200 to 0-300 means wear is a bit heavier overall without spend in reliability.
