Hello,
With the new wheel to wheel racing update changing how overtaking works, I think another good addition to this incredible update would be to have more instructions options to give drivers mid race.
Similar to how they do it in the F1 Manager series, having the option to tell your drivers to hold position or to purposefully try to slow the car behind, and likewise, to push for an overtake would be great, allowing players to open themselves up to new in the moment strategy options.

Is that, not, what the push level buttons were initially designed for, before players used them as an "arcade play" system, in race?
Getting on the radio every single start and end of every corner in a race would not happen irl...

Ideally we want
Push Levels
[Manage] - Reduces corner speed and tyre wear
[Cruise] - Neutral usage of Tyre wear and corner speed
[Push] - Increase corner speed and tyre wear usage.
Fuel Management
[Lift] - Saves Fuel and lowers top speed at end of straights
[Neutral] - Neutral usage of Fuel and Top Speed
[Long] - Uses Fuel and accelerates faster
Wheel to Wheel Racing
[Defend] - Block and position car at the expense of pace
[Hold Position] - Do not overtake but maintain current gap, keeping tyre and engine temperatures down
[Overtake] - Position car to use slipstream or to pass on corners, raising tyre and engine temperatures
KERS
[Recharge] - Recharge KERS faster using less KERS per lap
[Balanced] - Recharge KERS with a minor increase in acceleration
[Deploy] - Consume KERS with a substantial increase in acceleration
