Just a suggestion but I was thinking towards the end of a season say last 3-5 races we have a option to focus more on finishing this season strong as normal or focus more towards the start of next season and put 3-10 designs points in a bank to use for the new seasons

Sounds reasonable on face value, but all it would mean is that those who are skilled at car design and know how to maximise DP generation during the season would have a bigger advantage at the start of the next season

Maybe you could add something where if you are in the top 5 in your current season you dont have the option, you just play as normal, or if you can mathematically still make the top 5 maybe idk, I joined my current league late and missed a race so I have just been concentrating on the next season and thought it could be a good idea

The benefit you would get though wouldn’t make a difference to the pecking order.  Also joining a league mid season isn’t a good idea as you will be allocated a car with very low design pts.  Always better to join a league during its close season break

The old game (pre August 2016) had a slider. One end of the scale was to focus development on the current season's car, the other end was to to focus on next season design. You could set the slider at any point to balance between the two extremes and the slider could be moved after each race. So, if you had no chance in the current season's title race you would focus all your design effort on next season.

It didn't work. People would just play with two accounts and switch them each season.
