My DP Before Race - Breaking = 63
Max DP Before Race - Breaking = 129
32% Earning power = Expected DP Earned = 21 DP

My calculations suggest that you should have received 24 research DP in braking.
Difference = 66
66 x 32% = 21.1
CD strength bonus is 10%
21.12 x 1.1 = 23.2
Which rounds up to 24.
Anyway, I'll flag this to the Devs because, if it is exactly as you describe, then something went wrong.

A few questions to try help with investigating.
Do you recall which team was top of braking?
Did anyone leave the league before the race yesterday?

I've done a bit of digging. You will notice that I joined and immediately left your league this afternoon to check which team has the highest design. I see that the strongest team in braking is Gerard's "Warriors in Pink" account.
129 design points in any single attribute should be impossible at the beginning of a 19 race season, so it looks like the display is corrupted and Gerard has a much lower design than the chart suggests, which would tie in with you only receiving 3dp in research.
I will feed this back to the Devs.

As Kevin mentioned, Gerard's "Warriors in Pink" was showing as the top team in Breaking.
Yesterdays race was the first in our new season
A team did leave in the break between seasons ( Moose Staffa https://igpmanager.com/app/d=profile&manager=3212493)
Another point to note, at the start of this season and last season also, Handling was showing a DP for the top manager in that area as being 189 DP, it resolved after the firat race. "Warriors in Pink" were showing as the top Manager in that area also, today it has reverted back down to 56DP with another team as showing as top.
