This is the new league system.
Leagues by default are assigned to the standard calendar cycle and rules, shared across all leagues. Community-wide voting takes place on the rules in the Community page. League boosts unlock the additional features such as custom calendars to move leagues into a different structure, so the option remains but they work like discord boosts.
The reasons for this change are many, but the primary one is that the old system was causing massive fragmentation and no ability for us to unify cross-league play easily. Under the new system we will be able to coordinate community events, similar to Fortnite and other games (these will come in 2026).
The new system also means we can devote development time to more customisation, not less. So, in January we will be working on adding new features to the league system which have never existed before. The first new options will be Classic mode (force 2D mode, no W2W system, cars drive through each other like old 2019-2020 iGP), Offline mode (spectate only / no management during races), and realistic car setups (detailed, realistic car setups like a real F1 car). Throughout 2026 more will be developed.
