promotion/relegation

I think it may help for the league owners to be able to increase promotion spots in their leagues ( raise to 3 promotion place or keep at the current 2) as it may help with keeping the Pro division full as its by far the hardest division to fill all the places in order to keep the league as much fun as possible.

I do agree with this i enjoyed races so much more with people i could talk to not just through chat. Though increasing it could cause problems the solution so that people can't just get promoted then leave is anyone in the extra slot gets marked for a season and if they have that mark they have 2 options when deciding to leave between seasons 1.pay like 10-50% of their cash to stay in the provisional slot(or have it removed) in doing so will remove the mark as well or 2.get moved back to the previous tier. The only problem I see is how to mark the provisional slot people.

yeah i also think having 20 teams more like real F1 and the new tracks would be good as i thought that was the point in updating the game yet we still have same old circuits as before.

everyone would have been happier with new race's etc rather than these damn awfull level caps and the rest of the stuff that now lowers the players enjoyment of the game (am still miffed at having my 20 talent drivers suddenly become 12 talent yet still get same wages when got relegated to pro from elite lol)

As long as it isn't possible to change relegation/promotion slots once a season is underway it should be ok. For sure it could offer an advantage/disadvantage to different teams but at least everybody would have the same opportunity; and if people did not like it they would leave the league. I'd much rather have 3, or even 4 rel/pro slots as it puts more teams into battles.

If the problem is trying to keep the Pro tier well populated why not automatically increase the number of promotion places available from Rookie to Pro based on the number of teams in Pro up to a maximum of ???? (number to be decided).
The downside is that in some cases progress to Pro could be rapid and might not be agreeable to all managers because of the cost of remaining competitive.

We have had a couple of seasons where there hadnt been promotion from Pro into Elite (because of low numbers) and a few managers did drift away.

In that circumstance, it would have been nice to automatically be able to promote 3 from Rookie, and relegate 3 from Elite (which we didnt have as we didnt have many in Elite either...!) to balance the managers out a bit more and keep a feeder system in place.

Or, perhaps the longer serving managers could have a non-competitive 'B' team in a lower league to help with the numbers, but only until the league was like 75% full, after which point the B team would be removed?

That does seem like a good idea that way if needed it could be there to help with promotion; however, "What about if the B team gets into a promotion slot somehow what then does both the B team and A team be in Pro?" "Does it still use the slot if not?"

I would say the B teams cannot be promoted, even if they are in the promotion positions. Or they are non-points scoring drivers?

It may also be a way for managers in Elite to give their young drivers some race time away from the pressures of the big league.
