Jack and his team have, over the past two months, put in a great effort to sort out and streamline the unintended side-effects of the recent MAJOR upgrade.
Thank you for that.
However, I have noticed that a few features still need some attention (to my mind at least) which I would like to comment on:
1. It seems that ride height and wing level are not as rain-dependent as before, if at all? Currently the same setting applies, whether rainy or dry.
2. Neither does driver height and/or weight (BMI) seem to influence the ride height adjustment to any discernible degree any more?
3. The ride height and wing level adjustments, while still represented on a scale from 1 to 100, seem to be limited to a narrow band of 1 to about 10. Likewise the suspension settings (previously only hard, medium and soft ) never seem to go beyond the 14 mark, also on the same 1 to 100 scale.
Would it be possible to spread these settings out over the entire 1 – 100 scale, so as to allow for some more nuanced adjustments?
4. Last, but not least, are the Tyres. To be quite blunt, their characteristics are shocking, compared to before the upgrade. While the stint lengths achievable with each (SS, S, M, H) seem to be comparable to pre-update, their respective temperature- and push-response is virtually non-existent.
The minimum race-temperature of 5 deg C currently seems to be the norm on many of the European circuits, yet keeping M, and especially H, tyres within their optimum operating window is not that difficult. Previously under these circumstances it would be impossible to keep the tyres alive and preventing them from sinking deeper and deeper into the blue and becoming totally uncompetitive. You needed S or SS tyres if you wanted to get anywhere at 5 deg.
Nowadays it is possible to even win a race on H at 5 deg! Pre-update the tyres had to be chosen carefully, depending on the specific track and temperature, and push often had to be adjusted continuously to keep the tyres inside the optimum operating window. Currently I drive almost exclusively on M and H at full push!
Can the tyre parameters be adjusted so as to give us something at least resembling the previous tyre performances, if not exactly the same?
Please see the above as constructive comments aimed at enhancing the game-play, which could make the game so much more enjoyable, and not as negative criticism.
The above can by no means be an exhaustive list of possible improvements, and everyone should be welcome to add to it.
Thank you.
