We’ve had feedback ever since the pit crew was introduced that it feels like it has little or no effect on pit stop times. The pit crew is active and does have an impact in the simulator, but it was always constrained to a deliberately small range to avoid too much "randomness".

Pit crew impacts:

  • Pit stop service time (small time window)

  • Chance of mistakes (low probability)

  • Current max deterministic gap between weakest and strongest crews is about 0.95s.

  • This small range was intentional due to past feedback that larger pit crew impact could feel unfair and decide races too heavily.



Please vote in the poll for how much impact you feel the full range should be in seconds gained/lost from 1 star to 5 star on a normal clean pit stop. Based on the full range, you can e.g. halve the difference between 2.5 stars and 5 stars and so on.

Since all managers (level 1 to level 40) can now have level 40 pit crew pretty quickly with a 4.5-5 star doctor without any manager level limitations, I think the best choice is 2.0-2.5s between a well-trained crew and a completely untrained crew.

Do you mean that this is the difference between a manager level 20 with 5-star pitcrew and a manager level 40 with 5-star pitcrew? Or between a pitcrew of 2.5-star and a 5-star regardless of manager level? Or just the random difference between 5-star pitcrews?

In the latter option, what would the difference be with lower star crews?

I would like to see a vote about DRS effectiveness. It is ridiculous when you can lose 5 positions in a straight. Also 1,5 sec slower if don't have DRS.

I see confusion here. Why do you talk about levels when we have stars? What is supposed to matter now? Levels or stars?
Do you imagine a game where account age matters more than engagement and continuous training?

I strongly hope you won't talk anymore about levels but only stars by now because as you said levels should only allow to unlock new features.
Otherwise there is no coherent and clear direction to game development.

Good catch. I've updated my post to reference stars and not levels. The example was only true when talking from max level otherwise.

Sorry for the confusion. Map it into stars not levels.

The range of impact from pit crews has been extended to 2 seconds with immmediate effect as a result of this poll.
