I'm currently racing in an offline league. Yesterday when I set up for my race, it was raining at Belgium. I set up with intermediates, and I put that if it stops raining for X number of laps, I would switch to softs. Apparently some time between setup and the start of the race, the rain quit. However, my driver stayed out on intermediates. Additionally, because we have a two tire rule in our league, I was disqualified (though that's besides the point since I was in like 17th/18th or thereabouts).
I think it would be really helpful to add in a way to have more granular control on when to switch back and forth between tires, especially if it seems like there's a chance that the rain might subside before the race. I feel like for a long time, if the rain quit after setup but before the race, it would switch me to a dry weather tire. I'm not really sure what the best solution for this is at the moment, but it does seem like the current system isn't optimal, particularly for folks who consistently race offline.
If anyone else has thoughts/suggestions to add to this, I'm curious. Like I said, this is sort of a half-formed thought on my end.
