Having the same ranking issue / question. My DP are equal in research and upgrade mode.

The ranking is behaving weird in that way for some time, but there were 
other issues with more impact. However now might about time to bring this one up (again) so devs can have a look.

Upgrade and research should show same, unless upgrade has unsaved changes from applied DPs. The violet(ish) bar and - button active suggest that's the case for FE in the screenshot above. Suggest as I found that page occasionally stubborn to refresh after saving. Overview shows different values as here the values including additional points from suppliers, engine, chassis and TD are shown.

Les points sont fixés a 300 au maximum.. mais si j ai 30 points d accélération via mon moteur, et que mon accélération est déjà a 300,  je vois que cela ne donne pas 330.... plafond a 300.. donc il est judicieux de stopper les points a 270, puis avec le bonus moteur je serais a 300.. et pourrais mettre les 30points ailleurs.... en gros c'est comme ca????

Yes, the cap at 300 is a hard cap and can't be exceeded using bonus points. So spending more means those points are going to be wasted.

Donc oui autant stopper l accélération a 270 par exemple si + 30 bonus moteur... merci beaucoup. Ca évitera les bêtises 😀
