The system was changed earlier to ensure the full range of the scale is used. There was a bug restricting it to the lower end of the range before.

Jack, questi sono i cambiamenti che fanno arrabbiare i giocatori. Impossibile torvare il setting giusto senza spendere 3 token.

I completely agree, Marco… Nothing has been stable since December.

Jack, as you know, you've made a lot of changes… It would be nice to have some stability to familiarize ourselves with the new game/update. (Fuel get complicated to calculate, tyres very dificult to predict, and now car setup changed, apart of racing and get block for cars, not able to use kers to overtake because been blocked…etc)

Please take my words as a positive and constructive opinon.

I feel like an announcement or a notice would have been a good thing. I prepared the setup 2 days ahead of the race and today I didn’t have the ideal setup in the race because of this change :/

I had 1 run left for both drivers and when i noticed it i couldn't figure out if the weather was showing fine but if it had recently finished raining and the track may have still been at say .3mm or something but not reflecting the change. So i used Tokens for both my teams and then realized there was probably an update.

Sorry, I did realise this would happen to a few people but there would never have been an ideal time to release it.

How would you like to be notified of such changes? What would grab your attention and ensure that you saw it in time? And how would you normally expect to receive information like this?

We could do app notifications, in-game mail, email etc. I want to implement a solution to ensure you're informed next time there's a change like this.

The change was simply reverting the set ups to what they were in elite before the update in December. The bug was the set ups being pulled from the old rookie tier before.

If you played the game in the elite tier before December then you know all the set ups. It is now the same as before.

1) Show a stripe with important messages on top of home page as you were doing months ago. Nobody can bypass the home page by mistake.

2) Add the information on the league wall but please make the list longer (now you only show 1 message on mobile and 2 on browser which is too few).
3) Remember to communicate changes in advance unless you are fixing an exploit or a blocking error. The setup was not the case and you could have done it with 24 hours of notice.
4) If for any reason you must do it without notice, compensate what you are going to break. i.e. A perfect setup applied to any car racing next race for this change.

If you follow this rule of thumb, nobody will ever complain. Didn't you claim once that you would like to develop the esport side of game? So that's what you should do. Game rules and conditions should be clear in advance to deliver fair play.

Just the usual banner thing for updates but in mail would help too. Being a public holiday i totally forgot about the race anyway so no biggie for me lol.

Hey Jack,
Working in tech, I know how it's like having to work through a huge backlog and also fixing bug at opportune moments.
There's been so many changes in the game recently I feel rather dizzy.
This may slow you down a little, but could you at least improve the release management + comms a little? A few suggestions:

  • Consistently announce changes in the "Announcements" forum and also consistently use the change log (https://igpmanager.com/changelog).

  • Grade changes by the impact they have. Some bugfixes, like the setup bugfix, has a massive impact. Some warning of this would have been appreciated.

  • A simple table/roadmap showing your backlog of new features, bugfixes and improvements would really aid transparency.

I and other players appreciate all the efforts you are making, but I think some tweaks are needed. I think I saw you mention using AI in your development process. Maybe you can create an agent(s) to draft and post release notes on your behalf.
