Length of driver contracts

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but can we have the option to have different contracts for drivers? 50 races to me seems a bit excessive unless you really love your driver. Rather than races I'd like to be able to sign them by seasons or individual races. (The geek in me would love to have terms in the contract and multiple options and performance clauses but I know this is too complicated :P)

I'd like to see certain complexities added to contract renewals as well. I'd like flexibility in contract renewals, including with sponsors.
