Tokens deducted for drivers health restoration without effect

I was trying to use tokens to restore my drivers health, during the 10 minutes before the race, but the tokens were deducted and nothing happened.

​The starting grid (qualifying) was already set.
​During the 10-minute countdown before the race, I clicked on the tokens option to restore my drivers' health.
​First attempt: Nothing happened to my drivers' health, but 10 tokens were deducted from my account.
​Second attempt: Thinking it was just a minor glitch, I clicked it again.
​Result: Another 10 tokens were deducted. Again.
