TranslateIt seems to me that bringing up a new youth driver is horribly expensive. It costs a coin to discover a random kid and 15 to bring him into the fold. That seems a little out of balance. Consider I can bid for a driver for 1 coin. Is it that my academy is only level one?

The cost for hiring a youth driver is always the same.
I don't have a problem with the price. This is not out of balance. Here's how I see it.
Hiring a youth driver is not the same as bidding for a driver. Bidding for a driver has a level of risk to it — someone else can outbid you and win the auction. You take a gamble on paying less in hopes of acquiring the driver. If you are lucky, you only pay the signing fee and one token when you acquire a driver from the Transfers market.
Plus, youth drivers, if greatly talented, are cheaper in the long run than a driver from the Transfers market. If you convert tokens to cash, 15 tokens to hire a youth driver may be cheaper than bidding and winning a driver from the Transfers market. In most cases, it should. Furthermore, it is cheaper to hire a youth driver than buying a driver from the Transfers market outright.

fair enough, maybe then it is the bid on driver price of the tokens that is out of wack.

YDA drivers train really fast, are cheaper, younger, and even cute. 2 seasons of training to have a really fast driver 20 20...driver ability, stamina and 51kg. i love him! hahaha

@Dan : That sounds great but don't forget exp is also important (it was used for "defending" in the same way talent was used for "speed").

yes exp takes far to long to increase. ive had my drivers 5 seasons now and only gone from 1 - 10 so takes about 10 season to get max exp by which time they will be 30ish.

well... i can't ask more from a teenager costing 350k. :)
