How can i qualify for the race? Or the game takes the times from practice?

The game runs the Qualify automatically a few minutes before the race. It uses the tyres set for the first stint. What I'm not sure about is if the car runs with the set fuel loadout for the first stint as well and if the set default push level plays a role there. Would be nice if someone could clarify that. :)

As far as I can tell the cars qualify on minimum fuel (not stint 1) and the push level set in the strategy has no effect on qualifying.
