As title suggests. Can't remember where I heard it, but apparently it does.

somehow, yes.
The higher his fee, the more points he has (age has a role here, too), at least that is, what I noticed. If you sort drivers by Level, the highest will come first and these will have higher fees than others aswell. So if you hire a 'good' Level 6, he'll be 6 and 2/3rds (the blue bar), another driver, way down the list is more likely 6 and 1/4th. But in the end you'll have to decide for yourself what you consider a good driver. At the moment I'd focus on a driver that has about equal points on attributes that share a training skill. Having one with 17 in wet and 7 / 8 in slow/fast corners will probably give you bad training results, as much will be spent on wet while it already is high or even maxed out. Until this is fixed with Q1 Patch, I'd look for something like that.

Hi Jordan,

this does not always apply. Drivers who are relatively cheap can be more talented then relatively expensive drivers. You have got many options and possible driver careers to choose from.

It's somewhere in the middle as you might have guessed from the posts. There is a random element to the prices so that you can get a good deal or a bad deal at any level, but also the price generally increases with level.
