race is freezing.

just to gives you heads up (i think you saw that the day you visited us), i don't know why, but, since some days ago, i think maybe a week, we are having one or two freezes per race. not on that league, on every league i'm in.
i can't help with any clue.

it's not just me now, i'm sure but in my case, i have a slow computer and it used to happen (still happening) when i click to kers. click-freeze-then kers like a second after.
or, when posting something in the chat. freezes before my message appears. but, this time i think it's not me or my slow machine, it's happening for everyone at the same time, so i think it's a server thing.

hope you can find this. i think this is not an easy one to fix. maybe we can give you some other info. let us know.

It's winter, don't mind about freezes this is normal at this period of the year ;)

But it recently happened very often and it is regularly happening in a lot of races especially in the evening (europe time). The point is we have freezes at the same time for everyone (easy to check by asking in chat) so it cannot be linked to how slow is your computer Dan. I even noticed those freezes happened in 2 different races at the same time and I asked in chat to confirm that was not only me. Hope that was only due to the end of year/new year servers overload and that won't come back.

I have been having this across all my teams at various races...

Pain in the rear when you come back in and your driver has burned off a load of KERS :(

no freezing today january 9 ;)
i had a 50% and a 100%, with no freezing.

Last race on Brasil all we have 4 long freeziing . And i will kick from the race for one error so i have to reconect again.

Same in BRL, frooze near the end and then couldnt get back in :(

This is not browser specific either, I tried both Chrome and Firefox.

Same as you Jamie, I had to close and restart firefox but 5 minutes had passed and 45/50% of the kers was gone ..

The use of KERS is by far the biggest annoyance IMO. I can understand there are LOTS of variables that make it difficult to insure 100% access to the live race.

I really wish they would bring back the "disable automatic kers" button :(

@Jamie : Agree, each time someone disconnects for a long time that ruins his race.

And its not even a long time.. if your like me and like to save your KERS for the end... you save your 100%... I have been disconnected length of time it takes to load the viewer, and maybe 5 seconds before hand while you wait to see has it really crashed... so maybe 25 seconds total... BOOM... drivers have both burned off 30% kers with nothing to show for it :(

If it's happening at the same time of the night/day, it could be down to high traffic of the servers. If you made a note of the time of the freeze and then searched the leagues to see how many start at that time.

24 races running at 18:00 for example could be slowing things down.

Will the two leagues I am see it in run at 7pm and 10pm. So probably busy times. But you would hope they are monitoring this kind of thing.

Hope Jack and team are monitoring these reports. Tonight we had a number of race freezes, with the worst happening on the last lap with approx. 7 teams all very close into the DRS zone and the race froze. During the first freeze at approx. 19:30hrs I counted in excess of 50 races running simultaneously across that time period.
These freezes have been happening for a number of weeks now and starting to get rather frustrating as I guess you all appreciate.
Is Jack and his team aware of this and are they looking into the problem, does anyone know?

I think yes. because we are all having this issue. it's the race that is freezing, it's not just one of us.
we are having one or more freezes per race. sometimes short freezes, sometimes long freezes (5secs)

i still don't know how to help, what kind of feedback could be useful for this issue?

If it's happening when there's peak activity, it's likely an issue with the game, but not directly.

When the race freezes, does audio continue to play?

Yes, audio is still playing, mouse and the web player are still responsive and if I'm not mistaken even chat is still coming through. Since it happens to at least most players online simultaneously it really looks like a server side issue.

It happened in our league too, Most people online during the race felt the lag and freeze at the same time, Chat was normal, only race was lagging and freezing, Cars were freezing and than played in fast forwarded
