driver contract type (driver 1 , driver 2 & equal)

Hi!
I have a doubt. I've contracted 2 new drivers. One as driver1 and the other as equal.
Is there a problem if I assign driver1 to one driver and equal to the other? I mean, Is that compatible? or Is better if I place both as equal?

It didn't make any difference during beta testing.
I think Jack had in mind to do something with that but I don't remember what.

Hey guys, I wondering this a bit myself. Its been about two years since this post was made, I was wondering if there had been any changes with Driver Status and if it makes any difference.

Have it control if they burn KERS fighting for position with each other.  And have the 2nd driver train to defend while the lead driver trains to attack.
