Jack. Please can you confirm where iGP gets it's weather feed from. I always believed it to be Wunderground Weather but I spectated a race at Belgium just now and according to Wunderground it was raining in both Spa and Francorchamps for the entire race, the rain only arrived in iGP world at about the 35 minute mark (three laps from the end).

Kevin 30 minute delay between real weather and game weather, it always was in the old version.

Just forget about looking up real weather and go by the games weather that why there will be no surprises lol

What James said... there is always a delay, gives the simulator time to process the weather etc iirc?

So this is the reason why there should be a new HQ building call:Weather Forecast centre

Thanks guys, I was aware of the delay, it's just that I thought it was only about ten minutes, I didn't realise it is actually about half an hour.
I too would really like old iGP weather centre reintroduced with the 5 minute forecast, it would allow you to take calculated risks during pit stops rather than just reacting to conditions.
It would also be good to have an indication of level of water on track before the system locks down for qualifying.

Guys, I actually don't understand anything about the weather system. We can't watch hour-by-hour the weather of the same day. For example, now the temperature of a track is 12 C°, how can I know what the weather is this evening, at the time of the race? Then, when it rains, there's not written how many millimetres of rain are on the track in that moment when I'm doing the setup tests (or during the race), so I never know what to use, if Intermediate tyres or full wet. I think that this aspect should be improved.

Yeah i liked that predicted 5 minute version that was knocking about once upon a time which seemed to work well not sure why that disappeared.

PLUS the wetness level in mm before lockdown be good.

Yes, it would be nice if training would show how much water is on the track. To figure out the tyre you can do a lap on Inter and Wets and usually get a quite definite result on lap times what's better, plus the ideal setup changes before it's completely try and thus gives another indication, but with water on the track you can at least get a picture if and how the rain is changing over time and make at least an educated guess what it might be at race start.

So far it looked to me like a delay of 10, perhaps 15 at most, mins as well, but I use wetteronline.de for my weather needs (though they were more accurate in the past but still way better than AccuWeather on my mobile which widget doesn't even manages to make it's own numbers to add up). The 30 min delay made sense with that HQ weather station. You need to have a buffer to give accurate predictions without having an, probably not free, accurate API access to a weather prediction service and programming the needed analysis for it into the game.
