Hi Jack/Devs

The league standings at the start of season 39 for Elite tier in "Everyone Welcome" (first race today @ 18:00 GMT) is:
#1 - Notahc F1 (2nd position last season)
#2 - Willmatt GP (4th position last season)
#3 - Barracuda Racing (5th position last season)
#13 - Skid Marks (Champions last season) - My team
#14 - DJI Drone racing (3rd last season)

Why do the league standings for the new season not reflect the championship positions from last season? Does it affect car numbers and most importantly does it affect position of the pit box in the pit lane? Also, why is it not happening across the board? I notice that the team champion of MJL Elite (last race yesterday) is shown as #1 in the standings for the next season.

In the case of the MJL several other teams including the runners up are listed lower than their finishing position, though. Noticed the first two teams in Elite and the 3rd, as first not promoted, in lower tiers are the most likely candidates to be sorted in way back into the lower half of the grid, most of the time just above the relegation/promotion teams Just as if the system took them out for promotion but obviously couldn't and had to sort them back into the original tier. MJL Elite does differ from that indeed, I wonder why.

Yes, now you come to mention it Daniel it does make sense that the code might treat the top two teams differently because they are promotion positions in lower tiers. Apparently this was the cause of the Elite tier bonus DP bug that Jack ironed out a few months ago.
However, if that is the case, why are some accounts seemingly unaffected? Frost Ice in MJL won last season and remain in position #1 at the start of next season and in the case of "Everyone Welcome" Skid Marks who won and DJI Drone who were third have been sent to the back of the grid, just above the relegation zone, whereas Notahc F1 who came second (a promotion place in lower tiers) have gone up to position 1 to replace Skid Marks who should be there on merit.
At the end of the day it's a computer programme, how is it that it produces inconsistent results? Are these inconsistencies tied to particular accounts?
Jack... any idea what is happening?

That's the big question. It looks like 2 out of the top 3 in Elite are randomly selected and sent down just above the promoted teams. But not exclusively, there are sometimes more changes lower in the grid. To make things more complicated and weird: Today the order in MJL was shuffled again, Frost Ice is now on 3rd for example.

Edit: Perhaps the reshuffle might be a side effect of the resync Jack mentioned in the car numbers thread.

Any idea why this is happening? Is it during generation of the next season? There's no monetary reward but at least the previous seasons team champions should be rewarded with car numbers 1 & 2.
