So I spent a ton of cheddar on upgrading simulator in order to speed up driver training. But there is absolutely no change in the rate the driver gets trained. Is this a ripoff or am i missing something?

You are just not noticing the changes I would say, if you had an old driver you would of seen a reduced number of sessions in order to get +1

So basically upgrading the facility is a ripoff.

No, each level gives a bonus of 5% training and it's working here as far I can tell and completely worth that little bit of money it costs once there's some free upgrading time after the big 3 buildings hit the cap. The question I have is how many levels bought you that ton of cheddar?

Your driver is 24 so the normal training effect should increase by 1 each 2-3 levels of facility upgrades. But your driver is also lvl 17 with a manager lvl of 16 and so currently affected by the soft cap. Given the basic training after hitting the cap is 2 that probably means the first increase to 3 would be facility level 5 or 6 and the next to 4 should be at lvl 15 or 16, but that depends on rounding method used (trunkated would be lvl 10 and 20 but I think I had 3 at lvl 8 already) and if, when and by how much driver age hits the capped training effect.

I upgraded 1 level - 15 to 16 and it has made no difference whatsoever.

Level 20 sim gives:
A 22 year old at level 18, a 18% gain with every click
A 21 year old at level 18, a 20% gain with every click

What percentage are you getting Jack with your drivers?

I forgot to mention I have a no star doctor, not sure if the doctor adds to the percentage or not.

Sim Level 14. Gets 3% gain with every click level 19 drivers. I'm level 18 so above my cap.
Sim Level 17: Gets 3% gain with every click same drivers

This was different when my drivers weren't over the cap. It seems useless upgrading the sim when you're over it.

Let's try a different way.

A driver whose level is higher than the manager's level gets hit with a training progress cap. If I recall correctly, a driver whose level is one level higher than the manager's, the cap is 3 points per click of the training button, 2 points for a driver whose level is two higher than the manager's, and 1 point for a driver whose level is 3 or more than the manager's.

Your driver is level 17, one level higher than your manager level. This is why you were unable to see any increases in progress.

The doctor effects how much health is used per click.
So a full 5 star doc takes 10 health each time you hit train, a 4.5star takes 11 etc.

You know, I was thinking the OP asked about training before...

He seemed to acknowledge understanding how it worked then

Health loss and training progress are two different things though. But a no star doctor uses the same amount of health as a 2 star doctor and the salaries are miles apart hehehe no star 50k and 2 star 200k per race

No sim, 1 star DR.

19yr old, lvl 5 gets 47% gain
33yr old lvl 3 gets 24% gain
